Use triggers to create folders in router

#1

Hi,
I can see that it is possible to use triggers to create unique file names based on Application, Connection and Host. What I would like is to be able to also use the triggers to automatically create folders for you.
In the example below I would like to see the following output:
C:\log\host1\host1-log.sil
C:\log\host2\host2-log.sil

Is this possible?

<route> <triggers> <host /> </triggers> <connections>file(filename="c:\logs\%hostname%\%hostname%-log.sil")</connections> </route>

Hello Hallur,

Thanks for your posting. Folders are not supported by triggers unfortunately so this is not possible at this point. I would recommend storing all log files in a single directory instead (this shouldn’t be a problem from a performance perspective).
