Unable to create a report on TestRail

Hello,

We just installed TestRail server on a ubuntu 14.04 and we’re trying to test reports function. However, we are unable to produce reports and its just hang with a loading bar going back and forth. Could you please assist?

Hi David,

Thanks for your posting. The issue is likely that you haven’t activated TestRail’s background task on the server yet. The background task is responsible for computing TestRail’s reports as well as processing email notifications and other tasks.

You can verify the status of the background task under Administration > Overview. You can learn more about activating the background task here:

We have already setup background task on cron job.
