TestRail throwing 503 errors


Seeing 503 error accessing the web portal of TestRail :

Error : Service Unavailable: Back-end server is at capacity

This is highly consistent and seen from 2:45 PM IST to 3:25 PM IST, its still seen. We use TestRail extensively via Web and also API’s. Both the channels throw 503 errors.

Our testrail users have been reporting the same issues, 503 and 408 errors. Any news from Gurock on this matter?

Thank you for reaching out! Our server administrators were able to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. We are doing further investigation regarding the cause but your TestRail instances should now be fully operational and we are continuing to monitor the situation. Thanks for your understanding and apologies for the inconvenience!


Our IT support lead managed to fix this for me by changing my host files to use a different one of testrails ip addresses he got from doing an nslookup to our testrail web portal. Since I was the only one in the office having really bad testrail connectivity issues, he thought that I was the only one that was connecting to the problem server, and the rest of my colleagues were connecting to the healthy ones.

Still having API issues when attempting to run tests using bamboo, but running locally seems to work fine with the API.


Thanks for the tip, I will look into it if some of our users are still having issues. It seems like everything is back to normal for now.
