TestRail milestone questions

  1. How do I close an old milestone that is completed

  2. Is there a way to copy an old milestone and prepare it for the next sprint without the tasks showing up for people in their ‘to do’ until it is ready?

Hello Cathie,

Thanks for your posting. You can mark a milestone as completed by editing it and checking the “This milestone is completed” checkbox.

While you cannot copy entire milestones (and its test runs/plans), you can simply add the new milestone and then rerun the test runs/plans of the previous milestone (via the Rerun button when viewing a test run/plan). The test runs/plans will only appear on the todo/task list once you’ve assigned the test runs/plans (tests) to users.
