TestRail API returned HTTP 500 / Undefined index: HTTP_USER_AGENT

Has anybody ever run into the situation like this?

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'TestRailAPIException' with message 'TestRail API returned HTTP 500 ("Undefined index: HTTP_USER_AGENT")' in /usr/share/pear/testrail.php:151 Stack trace: #0 /usr/share/pear/testrail.php(69): TestRailAPIClient->_send_request('GET', 'get_users', NULL) #1 /var/www/html/test-2.php(48): TestRailAPIClient->send_get('get_users') #2 {main} thrown in /usr/share/pear/testrail.php on line 151

All I was doing was to connect to the Testrail URL with known username/pass, and then read the list of users to identify my user id. All I receive back is nonsense about undefined index in HTTP_USER_AGENT. Internet search comes up empty with just a few pointers indicating that user agent information may not be set. I am using PHP to access API.
