Testrail allows user to enter start date and finish date for Milestones. Will testrail send any notification to user when the date close to finish date?

Hi,

Our company is using testrail system for test management. We are very happy to use the testrail system. It provides us modem test management, easily test track and powerful test report. However, we encounter two questions regarding the testrail operation at the moment.

Question 1:
Testrail allows user to enter start date and finish date for Milestones. Will testrail send any notification to user when the date close to finish date?

Question 2:
TEST RUN 1 and TEST RUN 2 are executed simultaneously. Both of them are same test items and contents. Is it possible to copy the test result of TEST RUN 1 to TEST RUN 2? Or we can copy the test result of TEST RUN 1 to TEST RUN 2 from TEST PLAN in the TEST RUN.

Look forward to receiving your response

Best Regards,
An

Hi An,

Thanks for your posting and great to hear you enjoy using TestRail! Happy to help with your questions:

Q1: TestRail doesn’t send a notification in this case but overdue/late milestones have a different color on the milestone overview page:

The timeline marker for upcoming milestones would be yellow for “late” milestones. You would also see a message when you click on the milestone.

Q2: Copying results across runs is not possible and each run is independent from each runs. That said, you can see related or previous runs and their results with the Context feature when viewing a case/test:

Cheers,
Tobias
