TestRail 5.2.1 released

Hello!

TestRail 5.2.1 is now available. The new version is a small maintenance release and includes the following changes:

  • Added: Support for Bugzilla 5 with Bugzilla defect plugin
  • Changed: Better support for errors returned by JIRA’s API for JIRA REST defect plugin
  • Changed: Subsystem field is now optional for YouTrack defect plugin
  • Changed: Inline images and screenshots on print views (in Details mode) are now rendered with a smaller max-width for better printing support
  • Fixed: Drop targets for text boxes are not reset for unsuccessful drag & drop attempts (e.g. if dragging text instead of files)
  • Fixed: Overlay dropzones are shown if dragging text from textboxes or input controls
  • Fixed: Possible message “htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given” when editing a case with a multi-select field assigned to a different template
  • Fixed: Previous values of multi-select fields assigned to different template may get cleared when editing a case
  • Fixed: Width of result boxes on print views for runs (in Details mode) is too large
  • Fixed: Page breaks on print views (in Details mode) may not work correctly in all browsers (Chrome, for example)
  • Fixed: No case/test is selected with three-pane view and Subgroups view mode if first case/test is part of a subgroup (i.e. with an empty primary group)
  • Fixed: Defect templates on Push Defect dialog may include fields that do not apply to the current test(s)
  • Fixed: Validation for Push action on Add Result dialog does not take test templates into account and may include fields that do not apply to the current test(s)
  • Fixed: Custom list of references/defects for reference & defect reports on the Reports tab may not ignore trailing whitespaces for reference/defect IDs for finding matches
  • Fixed: Possible “Undefined property: $seats” message with custom authentication if adding a user and having an invalid/no license key in the database
  • Fixed: Form submit via Ctrl+S shortcut may clear user variables on Administration > Integration or project options on Administration > Customizations (for custom fields)
  • Fixed: Combined configuration names from multiple groups may miss a comma after the first configuration

Updating to the new version
All accounts of TestRail Cloud already use the new version.

If you are using the download version of TestRail, you can update to the new version as usual by installing it over your existing TestRail installation (there’s no need to uninstall your existing installation). The database upgrade wizard is automatically started when you access TestRail with your web browser. Please see the update instructions for details:

Please take the time to make a backup of your current installation before upgrading to the new version.
