Specify the background colors for SiAuto methods

#1

Hello,

How can I specify the background colors to be used for any of the SiAuto.Main methods?

Thank you

Hello,

Thanks for your posting. You can use the SiAuto.Main.Color property for this (which sets the color for the entire session object). It’s usually a good practice to use multiple sessions and assign a different color to each session object.

I hope this helps!

So you mean, I can only use one background color for all the entries?

And if I want to have multiple colors, I have to create multiple sessions?

Why would I need multiple sessions to write entries when a single session is sufficient?

I feel this is very limited. I should be able to specify the color I want to use for each LogXXXX() without having to create individual session for different colors.

Thanks for the update. The color is currently a property on the session level. You can use other properties (such as the log entry type) to structure your log entries, or use multiple sessions (e.g. per application module or functional area) to use multiple colors.

I hope this helps!
