Smartinspect Console running increases speed of application

There is a strange problem with a delphi based software that uses smartinspect: when we activate smart inspect logging and the console is not running the software runs slower than with running console.

Even if I just log to file (no pipe, no tcp, …) a running console decreases the runtime of my application (improves perfomance).

Did anyone already realized a similar behavior or is this related to my application only?

How to test: run a application with heavy work load and some smart inspect logging, measure run time with: 1) logging to file and smartinspect console not running 2) logging to file and smart inspect console running.
