Silverlight support?

#1

I use smartinspect in both Delphi and .NET, but am starting a new Silverlight application and wondering about official support for Silverlight and and suggestions about usage. Are there any known code incompatibilities? Silverlight has unique socket and file security restrictions, so perhaps I may just need to log to a WCF service?

Hello Brian,

SmartInspect currently does not support Silverlight applications. This is mostly due to the fact that the SmartInspect .NET library uses several components/classes that are not available with Silverlight. The second reason are the security restrictions you mentioned. If you interact with a web application/service, you could send your messages to the web server and then log these messages with the standard SmartInspect .NET library in your web application/service.
