Pushing defect Testrail to Jira


When pushing a defect from Testrail to Jira the assignee field isn’t taken over automatically.
Anyone know how to fix that?

Hi @JeroenB,

We have received reports of this issue where assignees are not always retained when pushing new defects to Jira. We are working to resolve this issue and provide a fix in an upcoming release.

If you are using TestRail Cloud, your instance will be updated as soon as this fix is released. Customers using TestRail Server will be able to retrieve the updated version from the customer portal.

That being said, I do not have an ETA on this fix just yet.

In the meantime, you can still use the Push dialog and after an issue is submitted, use the link hovering in TestRail to determine if the assignee was captured by Jira and quickly click over to Jira to make this update if needed. We understand this is not an ideal solution, so we do hope to have this fix in place soon.
