Import ONE case with multiple steps from CSV

#1

Can;t for the life of me figure out how to do this with CSV. I have a single case with 40 steps and it creates one CASE per line in CSV. How do I get them all in ONE case?

TIA

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your posting. You would need to switch to a multi-row layout for cases on the second wizard step:

http://docs.gurock.com/testrail-userguide/howto-import-csv#column_mapping

I hope this helps!

Thanks Tobias

Was selecting wrong column to detect new test. I was somehow reading it as “to detect new step”

You are welcome, Mark, good to hear that it works now!

I have the same issue and can’t get it fixed. It all imports as one step and one expected result!

Did you review the link that Dennis posted in the 2nd post? If so and you still have a problem… I think if you posted the 2nd page of the wizard when you set it up might be able to help.

Can you share your test cases format? I am having the same trouble. I can’t seem to upload my test cases with multiple steps.
