How to copy test suites from one project to another

#1

We are running the cloud version of Testrail: TestRail v5.4.0.3660.
We currently have one project that has ~1000 Test suites.
We would like to create multiple projects (~ 10 projects) and move test suites from the old project to one or more new projects.

How do we accomplish this task?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi John,

Thanks for your post! You can use the Copy/Move dialog to move test cases from one project/suite to another. You would just create the new projects, and initiate the Copy/Move dialog from the destination project. Please note that you wouldn’t be able to move your test runs/results/history for these suites to another project, and so you would want to be sure to close any active test runs to preserve the execution history on the original project. You can learn more about moving test cases on our website here:

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Marco
