Hi Mahnaz,

Thank you for the post. TestRail would set a maximum number of test cases at 1000 as to decrease the overhead that could come from having many groups with this number of test cases in each of them. In this case we would recommend breaking up your test cases into smaller groups.

Thanks for your reply. However, I think breaking report to smaller groups is not convenient since it needs some extra manual works to aggregate the results. It would be good if similar solution that was provided for JIRA report if the number of items is more than 1000 (please refer to: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/export-more-than-1000-issues-to-excel-from-issue-navigator-in-jira-cloud-779160811.html) could be provided for TestRail. This way user could generate the same report in two or three batch.

Hi Mahnaz,

Thanks for your feedback! Sure, we’re happy to review adding the option to support more than the current limits for various reports. If you’re on TestRail Server, you also have the option to customize these reports as well, however this option wouldn’t be available for TestRail Cloud. You can learn more about building custom reports with TestRail Server on our website here:

Hope this helps!
