Having a preview of link in a step through mouseover

#1

Hello guys,
hope this question doesn’t sound weird. I have setup an automated framework to create testcases on testrail. In the expected result of some steps, I have a link to an image, so I would like to get a preview of the link through mouseover. Is it supported something like that in testrail ? The format of the link is the following for example:

http://sahi_pro2/sahipro_export/T20200_Change_password.sah_images/T20200_Change_password.sah_navigateTo__http___swf-svi-tff-tlm1.dev.int.master.lan_8090_wng-fews___login____0.png

Though my framework I got the above link in the expected result part of test step.
If anybody knows how to do it, it would be truly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Giuseppe

Hi Giuseppe,

Thanks for your posting. You can embed images in text fields with TestRail’s rich-text format. The syntax looks as follows:

http://docs.gurock.com/testrail-userguide/userguide-editor#images

This would directly include the image as <img> tag, so the browser would directly show a preview/the full image.

Cheers,
Tobias
