Feature request: 'Untested' test steps should NOT make a whole test case fail

#1

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere - this is my first post

I’m currently testing the integration of TestRail with Jira and have been running some dummy tests to check the config etc.

I’ve noticed that for a test case with individual test steps, if you mark one step as ‘untested’, but the other steps as passed, the overall test result is passed, even though the test has not been fully completed.

e.g.
step 1 = log in (pass)
step 2 = search for a user (pass)
step 3 = validate the user details returned are correct (untested)

The ‘untested’ field is showing in my customisation settings as NOT being a ‘final’ status, but it seems to be behaving as though it thinks it is. Can you shed any light on this for me?
