Feature Request: Add configuration option to filter for TestRun Summary report

#1

We have had several test leads in our Company requesting that they need to be able to create Runs report (Runs Summary Report) that display test runs for a given configuration selection.

Currently the report does not allow to select the testrun by configuration. One need to navigate through all test runs to be able to select the runs that are applicable. It would be very handy if TestRail allowed filtering runs by configuration.

Thanks,
Marcio

Hello Marcio,

Thanks for the feedback! Sure, we are happy to look into adding additional filter support to filter test runs based on configurations for the Run Summary report in the future. I agree that this would be useful to have, and we will consider this for an update.

Hi Dennis, Any update on this feature? Configurations are a very useful feature but if we can’t generate reports based on it it becomes meaningless. We have hundreds of test run and it becomes very difficult to select it manually.

Thanks,
Márcio

Hi Márcio,

Thanks for your feedback. We currently don’t have an update or time frame but it’s still planned to look into this. Are the runs all part of the same milestone? You could look into using test plans and/or the new sub-milestone features to further group/organize your runs and this would also make it simpler to filter runs (e.g. with the milestone filter).

Cheers,
Tobias

Hi Tobias, Dennis, Any update on this feature request? Is there a way we can have a peak on what is coming on the next Testrail release?

Thanks,
Márcio
