Are there any examples of how to configure tools to export the console log file to a text file and save it to a folder?

Have spent hours trying and cannot get it to work.

Hello Ev,

Thanks for your posting. You can export existing log files to multiple formats in the SmartInspect Console under File | Export Log. You can alternatively look into using the SmartInspect SDK/Resource Kit to read a SmartInspect log file and convert this into the export format of your choice (requires programming experience):

http://www.gurock.com/smartinspect/extras/

Another alternative would be to generate SmartInspect text log files in addition to or instead of SmartInspect’s binary log files, e.g.:

SiAuto.Si.Connections = “text(…)”;

I hope this helps and please let me know in case you have any further questions.

Regards,
Tobias
