Email Notification not sending comments


Dear testrail team,

We have a testrail server hosting locally. A customer recently reported that the email notification function
is not providing enough information for him. He would like to have the email notification to include
comments he put on the test case.

Could you please kindly let us know if you have any solution to customize the email notification rule?

Hi Joyce,

Thanks for your posting! The comments are currently not included in the email notifications but we are happy to look into this. The notifications always include a link back to the test in TestRail (so you can quickly open the test in TestRail) and the subject includes more information (like the type of action or new test status etc.).

Hi Joyce,

We currently don’t have an ETA unfortunately but making (email) notifications more flexible/powerful is definitely on our list. We would like to update the notification system at some point to support additional actions (e.g. not only results but also for cases) as well as making the notifications themselves more customizable. We don’t have an ETA at this point but I’m happy to add another vote to this feature request, thanks again for your feedback!
