Disabling "Add Test Run" Button

#1

I’m curious if it’s possible to disable the Test Run button. We have moved to using Test Plans for a large percentage of our testing. We’ve even had a handful of issues with newer people accidentally creating runs, when plans should have been used.

I’m curious if there is a way to remove the “Add Test Run” button from the UI. Not a high priority issue for us, but figured it was worth asking.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your posting. There’s no built-in functionality to do this but it would be possible with a UI script (JavaScript customization):

We wouldn’t usually recommend this and just agree on using test plans with your team instead. This still leaves the option of starting a standalone test run if this may be preferred but removing this with a UI script would also be an option.

Cheers,
Tobias
