Create an empty Test Run

Hi,
Up until the latest update (6.5.3.1001) I was able to create an empty test run inside a test plan using the API, but adding a non-existing test case ID. From the latest update I’m getting the message TestRail API returned HTTP 400 ({'error': 'Field :case_ids contains invalid ID(s).'}) error.

The reason I need an empty test run is that it is used as a place holder for my automated tests. Once a test is finished, it’ll auto-populate the run. If the run remains empty, I know that a certain set of tests failed to run. This helps me to identify failed runs, and as of the latest update, I’m unable to do so.

Is there a way to add an empty Test Run?
