Confluence To Show Latest Version Of Test Report

#1

Confluence can be configured to show a specific report e.g. index.php?/reports/view/94
If that report is scheduled and regenerated on the daily basis, how can confluence be configured to show that latest version of the report e.g. 94 or 95 onwards.

Thanks
Rich

Hi Rich,

Thanks for your posting! We would recommend including the project overview page in Confluence as follows instead:

http://docs.gurock.com/testrail-integration/dashboards-confluence

This would show all recent reports of the project and would open reports in a separate browser tab.

Cheers,
Tobias

Thanks but I wanted to avoid staff looking around the system, and just give them the specific report or evidence they require.

Hi Rich,

Another option would be to send the report via email and TestRail has a notification system in place for this:

Neither option is optimal if you want to be able to show it in Confluence as part of other information about a project, without the links, and to individuals that don’t have TestRail access. Additionally it seemed like the emailed report (as attachment to those that don’t have TestRail access) is most likely going to look horrible because it comes in as a zip with elements that are going to be blocked preventing correct display for most users with any sort of security settings.
