Attachmentts backup - Scheduling

#1

I have a script to upload all the contents of the attachments/ folder to upload to s3. I am however having to run with sudo everytime I try that. Whenever s3object tries to read, it throws a FileAccessDenied expection. I would like to know if its possible to:

edit the permissions for the files uploaded to the attachments folder.
run without sudo.

Or are there another ways to backup the attachments?

Hi Eesha,

Thanks for your post! This would be more related to your Linux configuration and you would need to check the documentation for your specific distribution to be sure. This typically wouldn’t be recommended from a security standpoint, but there are various tutorials available on public forums/documentation for any Linux distro that you can research to help determine the best route for your team. Hope this helps!

Regards,
Marco
