Appended date in filename not correct

#1

Hi,

when using SmartInspect to write to an output text file it appends a date in the filename. The problem is that the time is not correct to the computers local time. The time is completly wrong, well, 2 hours to early in this case.
In the file (its content) its the correct time.

How can I manipulate the filename so it sets the correct time?

Im using C# .NET and Visual Studio with SmartInspect

Best regards
Rob

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your posting. The dates in the filename use the UTC time zone in order to avoid potential timezone and daylight saving time issues. This doesn’t affect the content of the log, it’s just that the date in the filename may differ a bit from your local time depending on the timezone.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Tobias
